MATT THE PROFESSIONAL!!!

Watch 6 year old Matt land this 31″ Keeper Bass
 
 
Got a call from Dave hey Pablo you want to go out tomorrow? I don’t know Dave,
all I’ve been catching are BLUE FISH???
Come on Pablo, Matt my good luck Charm
Ok what time? 6 am. Ok I’ll bring some clams ok?
So I meet Dave and Matt at the boat and we head out.
Brisk 45 degrees, No Wind, Flat Calm
we head straight for the Inlet water temps at 45 degrees
saw some bait and birds diving and some fish splashing looked like small bait
but had no luck in and around the inlet area not even a nibble
So Mathew was getting board so we headed back expecting the blues to be biting
But at our 1st stop I hook up right away on a Yo-Zuri Mag minnow.
I pass the rod to Matt and we get the fish almost to the boat and it pops off.
I wasn’t even mad I honestly thought it was a blue but I didn’t see it???
2 seconds later Dave hooks a nice fish and it makes some pretty good runs
and no head jerking
He Passes the rod to 5 year old Matt and he lands a 31″ Bass
1st Keeper of the year.

We reset same drift I land a short but its stripes I’m happy
Kiss the fish and send it on its way

Then Dave hooks up again same story Matt
Lands another 31″ Keeper on 1.5oz White Blue Frog Buck Tail Yellow Josh
So now its all most 9 Am 2 keepers in the box and I’m the only person
with out a keeper
Then it happens a hit ,Zip, oh dam the fish just pulled on my Josh lol
re cast same spot ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!
OH BABY YES!!!

The fish is making a few runs I know its a keeper
Dave gets the Net and Bam into the boat
my 1st Keeper of 2010
I know its not huge but after 2 weeks of Blue fish and Shorts
this Bass was a real morale booster for me
I was thinking of changing my name to Pab-BlueFish !!!
Total Bass today 6 with 3 keepers
all on 1.5oz Blue Frog Buck Tail Yellow Josh trailer
SLOW retrieve worked best
Also landed 2 Flukes, what a surprise
Too Bad opening day is Saturday for they were Fat
Back they went

Udon Noodle

Todays trip will be forever know as

the day the Udon Noodle was beaten by a Blue Frog Bucktail .

 Peter Park named the above lure he was using the Udon Noodle

It was suppose to catch more fish than my Blue Frog Buck tail???

It didn’t, but sure did look good flowing through the water and all

We headed out for what was suppose to be one of those epic days of catching

Not today??? We had very dirty water with a 2′ visability made it hard for the fish to find our lures.

So we gave it our best landing 6 blues mostly on Buck tails and only 1 on the Udon Noodle

So Peter wouldn’t change lures even after I landed this one

We tried all over and several different lures but the

1.5oz Blue Frog Bucktail White/Green with Yellow split tail Uncle josh worked best

all the different Lures Used on May 1 2010

Even though the conditions were tough we still had a good time and I know there’s soon to be
