Happy Turkey Day for Pablo
Woke up today 5AM and saw No Wind, I quickly text Jr cause it’s Thanksgiving Day and it’s been a Tradition on that day we fish. Today my calls and Texts went unanswered ??? I went down to the Ocean to see the conditions for myself. To my Surprise the North wind calmed the Ocean and it looked good. I kept calling him and got to the boat and dilly dallied around to waste some time but still no call back 6:30-6:45 so off I went. It was end of incoming tide so I made a few casts and Bam Fish on it was small but still I was happy NO SKUNK for Pablo
.
After that 1 Striper it got quiet and I moved around a bit looking for a few fish but NADA. All of a sudden I get a call from Jr around 7:30 AM I told him He broke the TRADITION he said he went out Surf Casting last night with 7 other guys and No fish, it was cold and he was too tired to get up. While I was on the phone with him the birds started to show up and I quickly told him I had to go… Has I caught each Fish I made sure to post it on Facebook and send him text messages just to rub it in HE BROKE TRADITION lol.
I ended up catching 10 Stripers nothing big but a few teen size fish keeping 1 33″ releasing the rest. All fish were caught on 1.5 oz Bluefrog Bucktails with Red Uncle Josh Trailer. Back at the dock I found some Interesting things in the stomach.
Can You Identify this? The Middle one is tuff and it’s not a squid it has a Skeleton, some kind of fish. Also cut out the row of the fish. Not sure if I could eat it but maybe ??? It doesn’t look so appetizing? What you think would you eat it???
Well It was getting late and I could Smell the Turkey Cooking so I flew home hoped in the shower and off to Grandmothers house we go.
And Finally in other News I have my 1st Jar of Herring in the refrigerator, Oh how I love that stuff
Well tomorrow is Black Friday, this is what I want to see on Black Friday.
Going Back Tomorrow

Good News the Striped Bass are Back !!!
1st I would Like to say HAPPY THANKSGIVING to everyone !!!
Headed out with Good Friends Peter park and his Girl Semi Chow. I heard the Bite was back on so we headed out early 6AM. We were the 1st Boat to greet a Birds and Bass all over. 1st one was a Throw Back but the 2nd was was a Keeper. Check out Semi’s Video
The east wind Picked up right away and with the out going tide made the breakers a little rough so we fished the back side but wasn’t able to SAFELY get close enough for my liking. I spotted some Gannets diving out in about 40′ of water and headed over. Semi Hooked up on a A-67 Diamond Jig with Green tube to a HUGE blue it wore the poor girl out lol.
After that the sea’s picked up from 2 to 4′ to 3 to 5′ and made it a bit uncomfortable so we headed in to try some back bay spots but had no luck at them. Also saw a Beautiful Sunrise
Thing are picking up all over has I hear reports that Big Fish are being caught. Now the time to get back out there. Let’s Hope for some BIG TURKEYS STRIPERS tomorrow and the next few days

BIG Blues for Mama, Steve gets his Striped Bass
Wednesday June 8 2011 Had Capt.Adrian Out from 5 am to 7 Am we had 3 Stripers with 1 keeper and a few Blues back to dock by 8 AM off to Work 9 am
Ok it’s been a while since I posted on my site sorry been busy out fishing and work too. So let me give you the quick updates Last Thursday June 9 went out with Chris (Codi Jones) we hit the water at 1st light to find bluefish all over the place. We decided to head west looking for those BIG BASS that are on the way to Moriches. We didn’t find any Big Stripers but, I did find that every spot all the way down towards Smith Point where I had Stripers in the fall are still alive and loaded with Sand eels and full of Bluefish. So on the way back I decided to stop at one of my spots in 74′ of water and try Fluking for it was 1 year ago to the day I had an 8lbs Fluke at this very same spot. We set up shop when all of a sudden we hear a big SPLASH! We quickly look around and I see a Huge Fin? My 1st reaction was Mako Shark but in another minute I see a Huge Blue fin Tuna Leap out of the water. We both yell out Tuna and fly right over to the spot where they were I cast my line a ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!
Well after that we chased them for 2 hours flying up to them and hooking up on 2 more Monster Bluefish but no Tuna. So no Tuna or Stripers for us…. The next day another friend goes out and he had the same thing Tuna and Big Bad Blues all over. So after hearing that I decided not to run out on Friday Night BIG MISTAKE! For the 1st wave of Big Stripers came through and another friend had 20 to 40 lbs Stripers from 5pm till dark he said as many as they could catch. Anyway Sat was a wash out with rough seas and rain. Which Brings me back to Kat’s day out.
So Sunday Afternoon the wind lies down and the ocean has Big Rollers but nothing bad so i tell her lets go looking for those big Stripers. We set out and Find those Chopper Blues in the inlet again and no Stripers. It’s rocky and bumpy so we didn’t stay long. However I noticed so much bait traveling into the back bay it was insane as you could see the sand eels squiggling in the water it was Gin clear.
So you get the point then On Monday afternoon I get a call from Steve Boyd let’s go 5 pm I say the evening bite been good. When we get there I see nothing outside the ocean is flat like a lake again and the inlet is full of bait and BIG BLUES are all over again. Steve and i battle through the Big Blues and manage to stay real close to the bottom and Pick up 3 Keeper Stripers on 2.5oz Yellow/White Blue Frog Bucktails with Yellow josh. We were glad to pick through the blues and were back to the dock by 8PM filleting our catch. I’m glad We went Steve good times and not many boats
Awesome Bite going on in the late Afternoon Who else wants some

After that things turned to all Bluefish and we kept trying but all we
got were blues for the next hour. About 7AM-ish it was like someone threw a
switch as the tide died all the commotion disappeared. We tried all over but
even the Blues stopped biting. The Boys were so Stoked we could have ended the
trip right there and they were all Smiles for the camera but Gino wanted to
catch some flukes so off we went to all the spots I had good success. We tried
Hard but it was the beginning of Incoming and we only had 1 short for the hour
we tried.

flukes were hitting your baits. That was the coolest thing!!! I really tried
hard to get that 1 Keeper fluke but the boys had enough and we headed to the
barn to filet there catch.
